After a career in marketing and politics, Mr. Samuels is now a full-time union actor. He has appeared in KANTEMIR, a SAG feature starring Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund. He portrayed Prof. Bryce Gleason on Hulu channel's THE PATH and played Frank in the feature film HOW THE LIGHT GETS IN directed by Steven Fierberg. He recently played the Cleric in A DEADLY LEGEND starring Corbin Bernsen and Judd Hirsch. He also originated the role of Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman on stage in New York at Playwrights Horizons in the world premiere of ATTILA - his performance in the play's film adaptation garnered the Best Actor award at the 2018 Bucks Fever Film Festival.

Mr. Samuels graduated from Vassar College with distinction in Acting and Directing in 1980. He acted in New York City for several years - originally joining AFTRA when he was cast on AS THE WORLD TURNS.



As a writer, he has had 5 screenplays optioned and was a semifinalist in the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Nicholl Fellowship competition. He also previously served as an elected member of SAG-AFTRA  Philadelphia's Board of Directors.
